I have a quick question about hotels in the area. Which one is the closest and does any of them have shuttle services on Friday night

Marriott on 12th is closest and I think they have a shuttle.

The contest was a few weeks ago, you looking for next year already?

Yes I know its over. I was curious for next year

Well I'm from KC and can tell you that you need to be carful where you stay there. Its in a bad part of town and some places you just don't want to be after dark (and some parts you don't want to be durning the day). I always just drove back home but I would stay at the Crown Plaza or the Mariott downtown.
