I just got the akorn in today and put it together. It has a couple of spots where the Enamel is chipped on the fire bowl and the interior part of the lower section. Should I do anything to treat these places before I season it or just let it ride. I was apprehensive to put any paint or porcelain filler on the inside of the grill where food will be. Thanks.

Both my brown akorns have been awesome for four years.
I doubt you have any problems with the fire bowl.
I will say I've used pizza pans and the chargriller stone for heat deflectors. I prefer the stone.
Enjoy some great cooks.
