Got in late from a trip and decided to do some cooking to unwind. Too windy to cook outside so decided to make one of my favorites.

First I make a marinara sauce, luckily some of my herbs by the house are still alive.

I was too lazy to break out the pasta maker so just made up some by hand. Something about home made pasta that makes things better! Just fresh eggs from the hens, semolina, and caputo 00 flour mixed up and rolled out.

Boil the noodles until al dente and then add them to a hot frying pan.

Cook for a little bit and then add in the sauce.

Top with some asiago cheese I get from a small dairy in Wisconsin. These folks still make cheese in small batches at a really good price.

Only part missing was a cute young lady I know to share with... :)

I ate way too much and after a couple of cocktails fell asleep on the couch.

Perfect way to unwind, I love the process myself. More than a couple vodka gimlets and the couch thingie happens too soon!

You are a man of many talents.:thumb:

Thanks again folks! I have a habit of cooking late in the evenings especially if I'm wound from traveling. I'll blast some music, fix a cocktail or two and just dig in the freezer to see what I can make.

That's very nice of you to say jeanie, I appreciate the compliment. :)

Dang Norm! That's a midnight snack? That would take me a freaking day. And I don't think I have the guts to try my hand at homemade pasta. Looks Fantastic!
