Teams this is almost a free contest, just sell you leftovers in 2 ounce samples for $2.00 and get you entry fees almost back if you cook enough meat. You keep all the money! We are at 26 and would really like 40 teams. And did I tell you it is $25,000 in prize money!

Yeah thank you Arlie and Samantha what an awesome bbq event. The best jacko que has been to I was handing out so many peoples choice samples on Saturday that I got a late start on my KCBS meats. I cannot wait til next year.....also nice goodie bags, casino restaurants, the whole Mohegan sun staff and I was making the nite security staff hungry with the smell of beef brisket at three in the morning also two dollar bags of ice twenty pounders thanks again. And congrats to Christmas city what a great family enjoy the moment.

What a great competition. The staff was top flight, Arlie and Randall were great and I can't wait to do this one again.

It was a blast hanging out with The Basic BBQ Team neighbors and huge congrats to my friends at Christmas City BBQ on their first GC and Smokin' Hoggs for the RGC. What a blast!

I heard this was a good contest. I would love to go - maybe next year it can be arranged so it's not on the same weekend as another New England/NY event. There are so few contests in this part of the country, it's a shame to lose out because of a scheduling conflict.
