Mothers Day 2017 taking the show on the road to a park pavilion to do the cook. When I'm at home I have everything I need but found myself in a windy situation.
I can block the wind at home no problem but I forgot about the wind component traveling. I was cooking the hamburgers and hotdogs...
Had lots going on the poor ole 007 tonight! lol On the menu was beef sausage and marinated sirloin steak for the kabob meat. I did the kabob veggies in the basket...think I like this better so I can focus on the meat for the spin.
Chicken quarters also off to the side.
Definitely a fun...
Hello all,
Ok, I've just pulled the trigger and ordered the Big Joetisserie set up for use on my BGE XL.
I sadly found out the BBQ Bros. that sell it...are located IN LA, and I had to pay the 10% sales tax..OUCH!!
Oh well.
Anyway, I was looking into possibly buying a couple sets of the...
Yep rotisserie and Sirloin Tip Roast Beef Pizza! Leftover roast beef made for some awesome ZA! Definitely best pies I've made...all cooked on the 007 of course.
The sauce was a thin thin layer of alfredo sauce with lots of sauteed onions, green red yellow bell peppers and of course the...
...Yes and it goooooood!!! Oh man was it good. The glaze soaked into the slices as it was basting with each rotation. This 10 lb ham was gone in a 10 minutes. The leftover from the back end and the bones is going in a simmering pot with pinto beans. :thumb:
Used OctoForks to hold it...
I wish each and everyone of you could taste these. These Country Style Pork Ribs were melt in your mouth delicious juicy pork candy! Seasoned with Bad Byrons and basted them with a homemade BBQ glaze with Apricot preserves, and lots of other goodies with a apple cider vinegar base. I've grate...
IMO it's hard to beat boneless skinless chicken thighs cooked over fire with some BBQ sauce cooked on. These were seasoned with Island Spice All Purpose and the BBQ sauce was homemade and had some apricot preserves in it.
Used 1 1/2 pairs of OctoForks for the spin and maple split for the...
Found a good deal on a couple of sirloin pork roasts and decided to see how they'd do spinning this way with no spit. Just used some Bad Byrons Butt rub and cooked around 350*-500* over the fire. Yum! Definitely pleased with the result.
Thanks for looking. :)
...and it's even harder to beat rotisserie drums yet cooked over a real fire (cherry and oak splits) It's been a while since I've had these so it was a real treat. Sooo juicy and perfect skin to boot.
If you've used a rotisserie basket you know how the spit rod running the length of the...
I joined the Octoforks club recently. I got sucked in by the special holiday pricing, but so far I am very happy with them. I wanted to do a trial run before cooking our X-Mas Rib Roast on the rotisserie, so my wife picked up a little tri-tip roast. It came out better than I had expected. I...
There's a new type and style of cooker that I've been using for quite a while now that I'm going to share with the brethren community and BBQ community as a whole. This is a concept that I dreamed up while I was getting into rotisserie cooking. I'm not a fabricator by any means so I wanted a...
