I am looking for some advice on fan and adapter that goes with LSG and Fireboard 2. I got my LSG delivered 2 weeks ago and I can’t wait to get some brisket cooking.
I am planning to get bbqguru pitbull 25 cfm fan and 3/4" THREADED ADAPTOR to go with my. Fireboard 2 (links below). Anyone here...
I just completed the longest BBQ experiment - not only that I've ever tried myself - but that I've ever seen done on YouTube or anywhere else. It was INSANE.
I started with one simple question: "How long will she burn?"
The conditions:
-1 bag of Kingsford Charcoal (blue bag, 20 lb value size)...
Haven't even unpacked the crate yet......gotta invest in a sawzall first :heh:8)
What a beauty though! Intro video coming soon and you'll be able to see all the fancy "extries" I threw on her :-)
So pumped!
I'll be doing a live walkaround Q&A on my Lone Star Grillz 20x42 at 9AM CST Saturday (5/4). Sorry for the late notice. If enough folks would like me to, I will plan to do this again next Saturday also (5/11). Tune in if you can!

Howdy y'all! I posted a quick hit, five basic tips for offset fire mgmt video yesterday on my channel.
However, I still plan to make a full length fire management video (while cooking a brisket) within the next few weeks.
I know there are plenty of offset fire management videos out there, but...
Not clickbait, and not April Fool's.

If I hit 100,000 subscribers on my channel by June 15, 2020 (my channel's second anniversary) I will be giving away a brand new LSG 20x42 with the Offroad Package as a thank you gift.
I estimate...
I know this seems kinda crazy to question whether or not a rub matters...or at least how much it matters but after the experiments with the spritz and the wrap test in the spring of last year (which I didn't talk about but this video also kinda reinforced those results), I'm not taking anything...
I'm looking to purchase my first stick burner. I am currently very interested in the Lone Star Grillz 30" offset cabinet smoker. I know this is a newer model and has been around for about a year now. That being the case for y'all who have them what do y'all think?
I've noticed that everyone...
This was fun. Troy and I got together and shot several videos last week. This morning he put up a brisket video on his channel, and I put up this one.
For years I never spritzed. I don't think I was "against" it as much as when I was learning I read some stuff that said it just slowed down the...
This is a bittersweet video for me. My father passed away recently from cancer. Right before he got sick, Lone Star Grillz sent me my dream offset smoker to use on my channel.
I’m glad I got it before dad passed because dad was so excited for me. He didn’t know much about smokers but he knew i...
The last three cooks on the new LSG 20x42 offset. This baby is awesome. So versatile, and so easy to smoke on! Getcha one!
First cook is smashburgers on the plate steel firebox griddle that feels like Paul Bunyan's own. Then, brats on the expanded metal firebox grate. Both of these cooks I am...
And a pork butt to boot!
So, Saturday was above average ;)
I have the hardest time remembering to take pics at the END of the cook because A) I'm HUNGRY!! and B) I'm taking vids for my channel. So pics get forgotten in the shuffle. Sorry :/
But below are the pics I've got! If you want to...
Bros, I have a new LSG 20X42 offset and a friend who can weld. To save over $200, I did not order the LSG charcoal basket or ash pan because my buddy will build for free. Some questions:
CHARCOAL BASKET
1. Would you build out of expanded metal, or other material?
2. How much smaller than my...
After four straight meals of the pulled pork from my inaugural LSG cook on Saturday, I'm convinced this is the best pork I've ever made. Just had it again for lunch today and still not tired of it.
Don't judge me for the ham and cheese..... I've been trying it a little different way each time...
First meat is on! Will be adding three racks of baby backs and a pan of Rus Jones's BBQ Beans in about 3 or 4 hours.
Top rack is a 5 and a 6 lb picnic.
Bottom is a 12 lb. brisket cut in half (relax......I like to handle my burnt ends separately from my slices:razz:)
Also updated the thread...
I've started making some review videos now that I've got my hands on one of the new LSG 20x42 offsets. As far as I know, these are the first review videos done by a consumer for this new line. LSG has made three review videos of their own to date, and those are very good. I've made two of my own...
Ordered exactly 28 days ago today. Built and delivered in four weeks. Amazing for a high quality offset!
-Lone Star Grillz' brand new 20x42 stick burner design-
Time to unwrap my present, see y'all again in some days :)
As promised, the new 20" offset pits that LSG just redesigned and rolled out 15 days ago are coming fast off the presses.
While I'm guessing this will certainly slow down a bit once the orders start flowing in, mine was finished this afternoon (Thursday, May 31) just 13 days after ordering. The...
