I wanted to write a little review about my experience, because I think its something that everyone should hear about.

About a year ago I started looking for a new smoker. I had a Brinkmann offset that was taking all of the fun out of cooking for me and I knew I wanted a insulated cabinet or gravity fed smoker. After a lot of research, advice from the forums and talking with people with a lot of knowledge in dealing or cooking with these types of smokers, I finally picked a smoker...A Humphery's Down East Beast.

I ended up dealing with Kevin (@smokinit) at northeast professional bbq. He answered tons of questions either on the phone, email or messenger and made sure I was getting the smoker I wanted. The order was placed and my smoker arrived just before thanksgiving.

I couldn't believe how well the smoker was crated.

Once I got this beast out of the crate I got to finally look at what a Humphery's is all about. I was extremely impressed with the workmanship and quality. I just wish I didn't have to leave this thing in the garage for a month before I could season it. But hey, life gets in the way sometime. Here is the first run.

But the main part of the review that I wanted everyone to be aware of was the quality and amount of customer service I received. Upon receiving the smoker I realized that this smoker was missing some of the things I ordered. I contacted Kevin and he immediately started finding out what the problem was. Once the information was obtained, he made sure to make everything right by me and made sure I got the things I originally ordered. In the process there was still an issue with some things not being shipped at the same time. Again, Kevin went out of his way to find out what was going on, why things were happening the way they were and made sure I was kept in the loop. All in all, everything was made right on my part. I have to give a shout out to Kevin (smokinit) at Northeast professional bbq and Humphery's for the way they treated me. Their customer service is second to none as well as their smokers. I can't recommend Kevin at Northeast Professional Bbq and Humphery's enough. It's such a nice feeling knowing that there still are companies that care about their customers as much as these guys do and don't just worrying about the bottom dollar.

Here is the final product.

Congrats and Enjoy
I know Kevin he is a really nice person Met him a few years ago when he lived in this area Bought a Backwoods party from him which I have now sold

Very nice, you are going to love it. I have a DEB also and found out a little hint. Put a $10 street elbow on your intake before the ball valve. This was you fan is tucked close to the body of the smoker and less likely to get kicked.

Congrats on your new smoker!! Beautiful, except for that W. I would suggest a nice round O, something like this... has that natural look.. :becky:

Question, why was your Brinkmann offset taking all the fun out of smoking?
