Just remember to start off with placing the tuning plates where Chris suggests in the handbook and go from there. I think it is better to tune the cooker without food inside it. Wait a couple of hours to let the cooker settle in...maybe not that long where you live... :-D
Like Chris says, keep the cooker below 250* or so while seasoning to let the paint further cure in.

I cooked on mine while the seasoning process was underway. I let it run about 5 hours and just couldn't stand it anymore so I threw on a couple naked fatties. :icon_smile_tongue:Thanks, will definitely follow Chris's directions. Did you cook on yours after the seasoning was complete?
