...that the probe my Super Fast British Racing Green Thermapen does not cool off super fast. Ouch!

Finally used it on some chicken last night. Works as advertised.

Seeing how it reads so fast I'm surprised it had time to get that hot. I usually wipe it off with my fingers without issue

Not me. Absolutely no reason in normal cooking applications to try to be that precise, in my opinion.

I did but I stopped. I found my self waiting on that decimal place to settle and I was waiting time. Just not necessary.

I've been doing the same thing. It's drives me crazy. Going to change it back next time I bbq.
