Hey you with the face!
Just wondering who is all going in 20 days to Lanexa, VA? Any brethren going to be competing in the backyard? Kcbs?

Cool we are doing the backyard division feel free to swing by if you have time and say hello. We are running just a WSM 14.5" hopefully by then I can talk my wife into a ez up tent or similar ours got wrecked last summer so.. We may be praying for no rain lol. I am pretty sure I will have her convinced by then.

When it gets a little closer let me know if you still don't have one.

Yeah seriously thanks I appreciate that a lot. If I need one I will let you know for sure.

Hey heads up to the backyard teams the rules just changed I just got an email from Mr. Caldwell. If you haven't read the rule changes yet their probably in your email. If not send me a pm and I will forward it to you. 2 weeks and we all are going to have to adapt. Only having to do 6 ribs instead will make things a bit easier but the new pork rule definitely needs clarified. I already emailed to ask what he meant by 6 portions of pork. Hopefully he just means 6 seperate portions of chopped, pulled, or shredded. I sent an email asking if slices would now be legal as in Money Muscle. Hopefully he emails me back by Saturday so I can practice.

Adams Rib Midland VA will be there in the KCBS categories. This year will be a little different for me. I competed with my father last year who taught me a tremendous amount of bbq knowledge and guided me along the way. He is currently undergoing a Stem Cell transplant in Richmond and I will be going it on my own this year. So when the obnoxious guy from Adams Rib keeps coming by asking questions, sorry in advance lol. Cant wait to see all of you at Rockahock, bbq is a second family for me.
