Forcast is calling for 8-12" of snot, and there's a chili TD going on... 2 reasons more than I needed to make some chili, so here goes..
Rubbed the Fatty with Oakridge Secret Weapon, Chuckie got Salt Lick
Put them on the barrel, along with some tomatoes, serranos, and a jalapeno.
Barrel was puffin thin blue north of 300... Love cooking HnF
Tomaters and peppers done
Fatty is done
So Now I Started the rest of the chili..; Onions first..
Then added Garlic, the smoked peppers, and a Halbenero and Jalapeno that I smoked last weekend for 24 hrs (until completely dry) Awesome flavor from those..
Next chopped the fatty
And soon they were all getting happy
Next added the smoked tomatoes, a fresh Red bell, Chili Powder, cumin, oregano, salt, a can of whole tomatoes, and the bottle of Lagunitas Brown Shugga - Side note beer lovers, if you haven't had this beer, TRY IT NOW. Really farking good.
While this bubbled along, the Chuckie probed tender..
Once the chuckie came in to rest, it had a fan club...
Oh man was this good. I did a lot of QC to make sure it was good for the chili..
Let it simmer another hour or so, and it was dinner time.
Fantastic! Smokey, spicy, delicious. Thanks fer lookin
