Cheap Lighter Rant

I'm so tired of those cheap lighters that we all use to light our grills and smokers, that I could scream. They never seem to work and if they do it is only for a short number of times. I am in search of a lighter that will last and put out a good consistant flame.

I came across this from Zippo.

Weed burner Harbor Freight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Weed burners are good for big smokers but not for us folks that use chimney's for our smaller cookers. I found this one also.

I have a butane lighter and it works great. I don't always have a need for a big flame, but one that the slightest breeze won't blow out is nice.

bic lighters last forever. Spend 2 bucks on one at the gas station when you pick up a beer on the way home.

BULL FECES I use mine on My MiniWSM, OTS, Stick burner, UDS, and occasionally the ECB when pressed to do a bunch of chicken. You got to be smarter than what your working with.:thumb:

wonder how long the HF torch with the igniter lasts...the igniter part that is....dunno if its worth it or if it will just stop working

mine lasted for about a month I now use the lighter for my cutting rig. If I had it to do over again I would get the one with out and save a few bucs

Lighters? Hell, I'm using up an old case of matches we had!

Can be a bit of a B in the wind, but otherwise works just fine.

Mine has lasted about a year so far, couldn't tell you how many times I have smoked something in that year. If it wears out, I can always use my Zippo to light the flame thrower and the flame thrower to light the coals.

Unfortunately I bought this weed burner and the damn ignition switch stopped working so now I have to use the same POS lighters the OP is complaining about to get it lit!
