For anybody on Long Island, where are you getting your meat for smoking. Every time I want to do a brisket I need to order it in from out of state so it ends up be costly and needs to be planned in advance.

Thanks.

Mostly Costco or BJ's, for pork, I don't see brisket all the time, and it's usually a small flat.
But... any butcher should be able to order you a box.
There's a couple provisions guys in western Suffolk, sorry forgot the names but you can google wholesale meats, that has pretty much what you want and you can walk in , for cash.

Do you or someone you know own a small business? If you can get a tax id number you can join Restaurant Depot. There's a number of them on Long Island.

That would probably be your best bet.

I have an RD card if you want I can bring you in and you can load up.

Usually go to the 1 on rt110.

Join KCBS. One of the perks is free day passes to Restaurant Depot.

i went to restaurant depot for two years with no card. just ask them for a visitors pass at the front desk.
