What is it for? The one I made for my uds was 2 pieces of expanded metal bolted together to make a cylinder. Then I took u bolts to connect it to a 18.5 inch grate I found at Lowes. Added 4 3 inch bolts for legs. Found a metal handle on a 5 gallon bucket to make the handle. Hope this helps. Good luck to U.

for my uds I used some wire mesh I found in my old garden shed, now I'm making a new one I don't know whats the best material to buy that I can mould into shape etc, maybe ebay wire mesh? just thought some guys on here would have some recommendations maybe

Number nine three quarter inch flat expanded metal. The standard all pit builders use.

I have used the expanded metal they sell at Home Depot. Make 4 cuts, bend the edges up, secure the shape with metal twist ties.
