North Dallas

Lockhart's in Plano or Pecan Lodge in Deep Elum would probably be the most accessible from that area.

Hutchins in McKinney is about 25 miles, but it is away from traffic. IMO, it is worth the drive. Lockhart is inconsistent and breaks their food service for lunch and dinner (and runs out at both times). Pecan Lodge is almost as far as Hutchins and is in the city in an area that is a pain to park plus traffic is heavy.

Thanks! North Dallas this trip. McKinney in a few weeks. Should get a chance to hit them all.

P.S. If you want something solid (if not exceptional) that is VERY close to where you will be, check out Ten 50. It is on the 75 North frontage road in Richardson (just a couple of miles north of 635).

Haven't been to Ten50 but if Chris says it's good i believe him. It's at 1050 N. Central Expressway (aka 75 N). Exit Arapaho & stay on service road.

Spot on with your recommendation of Ten 50. Solid, well executed Q. Decent brisket. Enjoyed it a lot. Hutchins is next on the hit list.

Just go to the orig sonny Bryant's smokehouse on Inwood and Harry Hines.
Their brisket sandwich is a 30 year favorite.

Hutchins is a big winner. Great brisket. I'll be back.
