french onion soup and Packers game winners for all

decided to make french onion soup for the Packers game. Not sure but may need to do this again for next week.

Started with onions and mushrooms and created a soup base. Added roll and Gruyere cheese and puffed pastry.

put it on the Traeger at 350

it was tasty

Wow! French onion soup is my absolute favorite. Your's looks delicious. Never had it with the puff pastry top though. Nice addition

Thanks Cheez got this recipe from a fancy French restaurant I worked at in the 80's.

Thanks Matt. I just use pre-made Pepperidge farm puff pastry sheets. Super easy.

I like the idea of puff pastry at the top. We generally just do the slice of cheese, but that looks like something I will try next time. Thanks!
