I lost mine I was trying to see what else can I use I had just put my through a potato but I do know if that's proper reading

You could drill a hole in a block of wood and slide the probe through it.

You go get some clips from Radio Shack and crimp your lead to them, then clip to the grate where your food is.

What Ron L said. Works great. And if the neighbor is really annoying, use a bigger potato.:biggrin1:

I broke my alligator clip pit probe a while ago.
I just balled up some foil around a regular meat probe and that worked.
I've also just let it hang between the grates and that works fine too.

Lol. I use either the grate clip that comes with the maverick or alligator clip with the guru. You can find the maverick clip on ebay. I've also heard of using a wine cork.

I've used one of those black document binder clips you have to have something on which you can clip it.

Look at the thermo sites. I have seen replacement clips on there. They are the same as the clips for turkey fryers.
