was busy brewing today, so not a lot of hands on time left for cooking. so, I decided on pot roast.
took a chuckie, gave it a little sear on the WGA over RO lump
then into the CI dutch oven, seasoned with some salt, dried onion, and beef soup base:
put the lid on, and parked it in a 275° oven for about 4 hours. then got some assorted root veggies going in another dutch oven for another 2 hours:
meat ended up looking a little like this:
made some gravy from the drippings, thickened with arrowroot
made for a nice easy dinner to sit down to after a busy day:
