Rebel 17 first cook
My new Rebel 17 was delivered this Friday after work.
The next day I got to season it and cook on it for the first time.
I sprayed 2 cans of Pam on the inside surfaces and grates.
Then I installed my new PitMaster IQ110.
Lit my charcoal (Kingsford Blue) and brought it up to 300 deg in about 30 min.
The IQ110 held it at 300 deg steady as a rock for 2 hours.
I then lowered the temp to 250 deg and put on some chicken thighs.
Used a few chunks of hickory.
Chicken came out great!!
Loved my new smoker! :clap2::thumb:
Starting on a brisket point this morning.
Anyone else smoking on a Rebel 17 or the larger ones?
