So my advice to you all is measure and measure again and ensure you can get whatever smoker you order into your yard.

I built a ramp. It didn’t work as the pit bottomed out. I went and bought a winch from harbor freight and spent a hour in traffic getting concrete anchors from Home Depot. The pit “fell” a few times and damaged the wall and pavement. (There’s not a mark on the pit).

To get it in myself my and wife would winch a bit, bottle jack up a bit, winch a bit. Shove some wood under wheels/firebox, winch some more, jack up some until eventually I could roll it into the yard.

No idea how we will get it out of here if we sell this house.

Currently sitting in the back yard tending the seasoning fire.

That’s tough, I was debating if I wanted to go up a few steps and get 4 or 5 friends to help me. Workhorse website says 740lbs but I think Ashley told me I was a typo and closer to 800 +

Luckily mine is in the garage, I still have to roll it back and forth when I want to use it.

Anyway now you can enjoy, love my 1969 :clap2:

It’s definitely 800+ lbs the delivery showed me the weigh scales readouts.

The winch saved the day. There’s no way I was getting it up the steps without it. Also the floor jack. The only good thing about the confined space was when it tipped sideways it couldn’t go anywhere.

Between moving the pit, and splitting firewood I can tell my dr. I'm exercising now. Congrats on the new pit - it looks awesome on your patio!

Good idea on the jack - I got my pit stuck moving it over our flagstone patio

Used my car jack to get wheel out of a rut and slide a piece of plywood under it

I had a similar experience when i got my 250. I thought i had plenty of help to move it and had to get a couple more buddies over on the fly to finish the move.

I dread the day we move and dealing with it, but i know in the meantime it's way to big and heavy to get stolen lol.
