I just bought a nice offset, reverse flow stick burner. My neighbor had a large (20") limb fall out of a red/black oak and it has been lay there for roughly one year. I cut it up, split it, and removes all of the bark. Most of it was not touching the ground. In some places there was a very small bit of spalting starting in the sap wood on some places so I tried to remove that also. The heart wood looked great. Will this still make good smoke after it is properly seasoned? Thanks for help in advance.
