I found a much better box than my last wind guard attempt that only needs a cut and a fold.

It’s a 16”x16”x16” box from staples that sells for two dollars.

Cut the box down the center so you have the top and bottom halves of the box.
Then trim the height to 8-3/4”
Then put new folds at 12” from the opposite corners.

This gives you a 12”x20” wind guard that is perfect for a chafing dish.

I cut it a little lower around the handles, and cut air notches on the bottom corners.

For a dollar per wind guard, they are easy to make and look pretty good.
