It's like Shark Week, except with the sun. Heat has been brutal. Forecast is just as or brutal-er thru Saturday 103-109 depending. What a great time to please The Bride and eat chicken and fish. Then fish and chicken. Took temp on my patio surface the other day 129°>
Folks are baking bread in their mailboxes.

It's the right thing to do. Honor her request, leave the cookers alone.
Ride bike and hike early, ice packs, fans & beer

Eat More Chicken

And beer

Chicken, continues during Heat Week
You know that Lays Potato chip tuna casserole??
No tuna, added cubed rotisserie chicken breast meat
No cream of something soup
Used Progresso Cheesey Enchilada Soup

It ate

Went out yesterday to fire up Mable and looked at the tel-tru on the Oklahoma Joe, just shy of 115°!

Pushed a button and went back in the shop…

I need some beef. One 4.5# rotisserie chicken from sam's
Day 1 we each had quarter and wings (I captured the oysters)
Day 2 white chicken chunk cheesy enchilada casserole"*"
Day 3 same as Day 2 recharged with another Progresso last of white meat
Side was a salad

Anyhow. Heat is to continue near, at and above 100° thru next week.

Tired of bird. Have some ribs, a brisket and some sausage for the weekend.

Sometime during this atmospheric blast furnace need to cook some Texas Red. Real deal. No tomatoes, no beans. Real peppers seeded steeped and blended into a paste. I've a couple leftover grilled ribeye that will work just fine

Funny what you crave when you restrict yourself.

"*" Tuna casserole no tuna, no cream of something soup.

Temps over 100 here.
Garden season. Waits for no one.
Fire roasted 15# of tomatoes for salsa and another 5# plus peppers for pizza sauce.
On top of regular garden duties.

Gets in the way of my BBQ.
Except for Monday when I fired up the Vortex for some quick ribs.

Might cool down to 95 by next week.
