What's up everyone

So I've been going through the internet looking for recipes on "beef chuck roast burnt ends", because I saw this video by Adrenaline BBQ and at the end I thought "hmmmm... that looks a lot like burnt ends."

Lo and behold, several recipes exist online that include various ingredients, techniques, and other arcane wizardry. I was just wondering if any of you have tried anything like this and if you can point me to a recipe that produces something to the effect of burnt ends, so I can try it this Saturday on my new cooker

It might depend on what you like about the burnt end experience. Is it the sauce, the char, the bark, or the richness? I think that chuck would not give you richness, but would be alright if you wanted a leaner version. The long cooking time would also give a bonefide bark, if you smoke it.

For me, burnt ends is all about the richness and the bark (not char though, I only like char on my steaks). Also I dont care much for sauce on something Ive cooked over smoke all day. That pretty much leaves the real deal from the brisket point for me. Not much of a fan of faux burnt ends because for these reasons. Except pork belly burnt ends cooked for 7 or 8 hours, those are a-ok :).
