Alternative to a chudbox/direct heat cooker?

I really like the look and style of a chudbox - https://www.chudsbbq.com/products/chudbox but the cost of the product and shipping to LAX is too much. So can any of you lovely people suggest an alternative? I’m not looking for a kettle.

I’ve been looking at the hasty bake roughneck - https://www.hastybake.com/collections/charcoal-grills/products/roughneck-barrel-smoker but can’t find much in comparison. What do y’all think?

Any others? Also I don’t mind going to Texas and road tripping something back but the price is just too high for me right now on the chid box

Used to be one similar to Chud box called a Rip Tangle Smoker priced about $1200. Made around Central Missouri. Worth checking out. St Louis BBQ Store used to sell them. 314-200-5350
