Thanks for the tip. I always use my thermapen but just bought 2 of these pops. I'll keep one in the cabinet by my smoker. Many times I've gone out and forgot my thermapen but at this price I can afford to have them handy in different locations.

I actually have 3 already!

And I have gifted a few over the years.

My original black Thermopop is still going after about 8 years and a trip through the washer and dryer. I have changed the battery twice in that time and it's still accurate, and I swear it only gets faster with age!

My yellow is still in use as well as my yellow Thermopop 2 I acquired last year.

One of these years I'll get the actual Thermopen, but I don't really see the need.
