I bought the silicone case just for that reason. It has magnets built into the back so I always keep it on the side of my fridge.

I love my silicone boot on my Mk4s. BUT, you have to be very careful with where you put it! Lots of stories out there about people leaving them attached to EZ-UPs or a trailer side or somewhere else where it gets lost/crushed/destroyed/falls.

Just something to be aware of!

I always try to purchase tools in a hi vis color like fluorescent green so they are easy to locate when I scan the room. I ordered a fluorescent green Thermopen.
