Hey y’all, so smoking some chicken drumsticks for an easy dinner tonight on my Weber kettle. Some other family got word and we ended up deciding last minute to have a small get together so I decided to pick up some extra drumsticks and going to do 2 smalll fatties as well. Now I won’t have room for both fatties and the chicken to cook at the same time so planning to cook one first then the other. Which would y’all do first and how would you store? Either way was thinking of letting the first batch hang out in the oven as low it’ll go to stay warm for a while then rest in a cooler wrapped up after. Thoughts?

I'd leave them in the oven on 'keep warm' until ready to eat. Wrapping i think would soften the skin if it's crispy. Although if they are sauced i guess it wouldn't matter that much.

I would do fatties first and then crank the heat up for the chicken.

I would also use a warm oven to maintain the fatties above the danger zone (too cool to keep bacteria at bay).
