Just overnighted my deposit check to Paul... Now the hurry-up-and-wait begins.

24X60 Cabinet on mod trailer.:boxing:

Thinking about selling my Deep South if anyone is interested, let me know.

Congrats! I am trying to find a way to justify a SF cooker. I really don't need one but I really want one.

Bravo on the SF choice.
The finished cooker will be a great way to start off the spring smoking season.

I really don't need one but I really want one.

I had this same issue. I already owned a Vault and 2 BGE's. But in the end I had to buy a Shirley as well. I got say, I have no regrets. If something were to happen to it, I would buy another one pronto.

You a professional BBQ guy? That's a lot of spend you're advertising in a few short months! Yup, speaking from jealousy.:thumb:

Amateur for sure... I cook for large groups at my customers. I probably have an impulsive nature, and I look at this as a hobby/love. I want to do more competitions, but I also want diversity in styles. The Deep South is an amazing cooker, and probably the most consistent one I have. I would hate to part with it, but sometimes you gotta make room. The Shirley will be my last purchase for awhile.

I am going with:

* 24 X 60 Cabinet upgrade with smooth doors
* Modified Trailer (black) with chrome wheels
* Removable Tongue
* Dampers in Warm Box from both cook chamber and firebox
* 3 shelves and charcoal tray in warm box
* 3 probe ports
* Stainless steel shelf instead of wire mesh shelf
