Bought myself a Pit Boss 700T1 and love it. Just a question for other owners regarding the "live fire" slider. Mine seizes most times after use. Not the end of the world since I take it apart regularly to clean pot, etc. But it can be an inconvenience when it doesn't need a cleaning and I just want to do a quick cook. I haven't even created enough liquid to leave a drop in the catch bucket yet. Anyone have this issue, and if so, come up with a solution? Thanks in advance.

I have a 820 that had the manual slider. I had to add my own rod so i could slide during cooking. Ive never had it seize up. My guess is your drippings are getting inbetween the slotted plate and the heat defelector and causing it to get stuck. Only suggestion would be to use aluminum foil under the food so it catches the drippings.
