So my neighbor and I have been dueling bbq guys for years. Now we have joined forces and have bought a project. 275 gallon oil tank already welded to a trailer. tank is good. trailer needs a hitch, but its solid. It was being used as mobile farm diesel tank at one point. Its green so my guess is diesel. It was an indoor fuel tank for a home at one point. We are pulling the pump off it and trading it for a gear reduction box, score 2 for Jokerswild BBQ! I have a motor for the rotisserie. On our way....

So my questions for the veterans...
1. How do we cut it without blowing ourselves up? It was diesel I believe. long time not used.
2. The spit will be stainless, requirement right? r
3. If we make a tray to put in instead of the spit, does that need to be Stainless? Im guessing not? Maybe retro fit Grill grates? Regular exapnded?
4. Better to split it in half? Or cut a 1/4 section out? Its mounted vertical so we are limited to that.
5. Pull out trays for fuel, or just a grate at the bottom?
6. Or Propane? Im thinking not...
7. Spit rollers? Bearings, v-cut?
7. Other advice, comments, warnings?

I will be searching the forums as well... but appreciate any love for the new crew..
