Wife still out of town so just Mac & me, but we wanted something special for my BD dinner. Got a couple of 2" inch tenderloins, seared in the CI and threw together a Madagascar green peppercorn cream sauce for tenderloin au poivre.

Melt in you mouth tender:bow:

Oh yea, had some roasted asparagus and twice baked taters too (covered mine with the peppercorn gravy:shock:).

Just happy to be lookin at the green side of the grass.

A very happy birthday dinner to you!

Where I'm from, momma'd be rather upset that she didn't get any of that... Looks fantastic.

Can't say I've had green peppercorns from Madagascar before... How's the flavor vs. say Tellicherry?

Mild but very tasty and blends well with the crushed black pepper (I bust mine down with a mortar & pestal). Used to get them in 2 ounce cans at William Sonoma but now a days I buy cases of 20@ 1-1/4 ounce cans online from a Miami importer.
