I've been in a rut as far as ideas for finger food go. The Brethren and LM shared some recipes that really helped me out. Thanks folks!!
Their recipes... http://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/showthread.php?t=222711
I couldn't try them all and was limited by what I could find at the grocery store.
I was able to make LMAJ's Italian sausage meat balls stuffed with cheese..
Sam3's Pepperjack cheese stuffed Boudin Balls with Bang Bang sauce..
Marinated Moose's Garlic, sriracha wings..
16Adam's Hatch Chile Tempora strips with chipotle dipping sauce..
Hotch and Smoke on Badger Mountain (Josh's) Pork Cake Sliders..
...and some Crostini loosely based on Aawa's recipe. I used venison backstrap instead of beef...
The finished finger food...
LMAJ's Cheese Stuffed Italian Meatballs....
They were outstanding! I ate at least three as soon as they came off the smoker. Thanks LM!
Sam's Pepperjack Stuffed Boudin Balls with Bang Bang sauce...
I didn't have time to make venison Boudin so I had to go with store bought. I bet Sam's homemade boudin is killer!! These were fantastic, thanks Sam. I'm hooked on these!
I didn't get a good pic of Moose's Garlic, Sriracha Wings... They are wonderful!! Will be making these again soon. Thank you Moose!
Next were Adam's Tempura Hatch Chile Strips with Chipotle Mayo sauce..
I ate so many of these, hot out of the fryer.. I didn't think I could eat anything else. They are addicting Adams! I loved em....Thank you!!
Hotch and Josh's Pork Cake Sliders...
I was surprised, the recipe is very similar to my smoked salmon patty recipe!
I love these... Thanks for the suggestion guys!!
Pulled pork, topped with slaw and drizzled with sorgum...
Lastly, Aawa's crostini. I seared some venison backstrap, sliced thin..
made a wasabi aoli and drizzled with a soy reduction.
These were very tasty!! I will be making these again. Thanks so much Aawa!
New Years Day...
Hoppin' John, Ham, Collards and Cornbread.
I'm not planning on eating for a week!
Thank you for the recipes, I hope to try more from the "Brethren Finger Food" list.
Sorry for so many pics, Thanks for looking!
