Need advice on a smoker/bbq pit purchase.

Further than you want to go but look at the M Grills, M1. It's a grill and smoker. They are outside of the DFW area.

M1 fits the bill. Truly a great all around cooker. Great stick burner and grills fantastic as well. I have one and couldn’t be happier (except I kind of wish I waited for the m36 just for the bigger size). Family of 4 here also

Was in the same situation but in the end decided on a mak 2star. That said I'd not be surprised if an m1 or lsg adjustable find there way in my backyard.
