Sorry that I am posting these cooks late, but life happens haha. The weekend of July 4th I was determined to get as many cooks in as possible.
Friday night was BBQ chicken night. Cooked on the Kettle rubbed with Dirty Bird and sauced with a Kraft/home made hog sauce combination.
Saturday night was smoked burgers and dogs on Fancy. After a day on the beach she put the smoke out like I knew she would. First time using B&B Hickory and was quite pleased. They give off just as much smoke as Bear Mountain Hickory if not a touch more. Took burgers and dogs to the gasser to put a little flame kiss on the exterior.
For Sunday Dinner we were going to have BBQ, so I trimmed and threw a butt on the RT590. Let it cook for 17 hours and was ready around noon ( no rest because it was time to eat).
Sunday night the wife, my mom, and I had BBQ sandwiches so I smoked a little queso to accompany it...yessir!!!
Monday it was time for a rack of Baby Backs. Rubbed with Kosmos Honey Chipotle and it was on. 3 1/2 hrs at extreme smoke (180) and then 1 1/2 hours at 225. Wrapped for an hour at 275 and ready to eat.
Ribs were good, but them and meatloaf are the two things that I feel that can't compare on the pellet to my WSM. All were fed and ended up fat and sassy. My mini me even helped spritz the "hog booty". Hope all is well with all my Brethren. Thanks for looking.
