I'm thinking that having the 2 separate heat chutes would collect more poison than safe heat. The first heat area requires proper venting for safety. This device looks dangerous.

Try as you might, the vertical pipes will cool the air/smoke mixture, and you'll collect some moisture, especially in the flat areas inside the pipes. That's gotta equal bacteria. That's probably one of the reasons why stoves built one over-the-other have separate heat sources.
