This was Stingerhook's entry in the 2019 "Food Truck Cookin'" Throwdown

As chosen by SMOKE FREAK for winning the "Let's Smoke Some Fatties" Throwdown.

CATEGORY DESCRIPTION - PLEASE READ:

SMOKE FREAK said:
Let's do a "Food Truck" Throwdown as we haven't done that since 2021.

Cook your own version of typical food truck offerings! Burgers, Dogs, Ribs, Sliders, Tacos, Wings, Fried Rice, etc. Many food truck operators feature dishes that have been grilled or smoked previously and then incorporated into a creative and delicious end product. Emphasis is placed on the serving method so your entry photo MUST show your dish served as it would come from a food truck which means paper/plastic plates, utensils etc.

You may submit entries that are cooked from Friday 7/14 through Monday 7/31.

Entry pictures must be submitted by Noon Central US Time on Monday 7/31.

Best of luck and even better eats to all!

Where does one acquire the paper & plastic containers that a food truck would serve stuff in?

A restaurant supply store should have all that stuff, but you'll be buying in quantity. Another option would be to repurpose an upcoming food to go container(s). Also, most grocery stores have different options for paper plates etc.

Here's the vote threads from the previous Food truck Throwdowns so you can see various presentations which may also give you some ideas:

I used an 1/8 pan with a 1/4 piece of parchment. You can probably get some of the Styrofoam containers in small quantities at Wally World. The food boats probably Sam's, Costco or Amazon, although in probably much larger quantities.

Does that meet the Throwdown requirements Andy? I've never seen a food truck serve food in a pan lined with parchment paper. Just askin'...

Bagel brisket sandwich on homemade New York Everything, plain, or sesame seed bagel, homemade pickles, pickled onions, and homemade mayo or cream cheese. Add an egg for .30 extra. What's the side? A second sandwich! lol

Two questions. Is this an entry and if so, which picture would you like to use?
