Contest Announcment Boston Hills BBQ Fest 2012 6/22-6/24

I loved having this comp in the Hills, but I have to agree with the venue change. I know its going to be the same great comp as its been the last three years. The location change will only benefit EVERYONE! Just somebody do me a favor and bring some shackels to keep me out of the casino :laugh: If you've been considering it, Like Pete said, get off your duff and take the plunge! The more teams the better the competition.

Admit it, KC, you are kinda PO'd that you have to drive 7 miles instead of 1 mile....

There might even be some free play for teams at the Casino?!?!
 
free play at casino!!!! and I thought free beer screwed my scores...move from mud issues to bbq sauce all over the handles on the slots!!!!I hope they understand..

I am so glad that we will actually be able to make it this year. I have missed the NE bbq family.

I'm letting David B. on your board dictate the class time/timeline... by whatever is best for you guys and the folks attending. Sounds like some big meats, and some grilling! Should be a blast - and something for everyone!

We're working on all the logistics - but looks like we'll have the Boom, Boom goin' on! I'll get an entry sent in directly, so you can add me to the list.

Can't deny that having the event basically in my back yard was nice...I did want to try to win one for the "home" team, but growing the event is whats more important. I'd love to have over 50 teams competing at the Fairgrounds with 1000 people a day walking through the gates. :becky:

So everyone knows, the event will be capped again at 50 teams. KCBS requires a second team of Reps, and that expense would put a serious dent in the prize money. Each year, we seem to have 5-10 new teams + returning teams.

Believe it or not, we got 1000+ people a day in town. We hope to bring 5000+ per day.

David and Eileen B. are some of the nicest people you'd want to know. He wants a pellet cooker, so let him know you might have a connection or two. We all had the BHBF Meeting last week, and he brought me up to speed on the deal. Given our advertising program this year - radio, tv, and print, the turnout should be good. Thanks so much for bringing your talent and class to to our event.

My rig is available, if Sean doesn't want to drag his trailer. The FE does fit in a truck bed for an easy trip. I have some Webers if he doesn't want to bring the FE?!?! :twisted:
