My wife and daughter headed to Orlando this morning for my daughter's senior trip and they'll be going to Universal for a few days. I did some freezer diving and came up with a couple of things that I want to cook this week, and today was a markdown wagyu top sirloin steak that I had picked up back in December. I had actually forgotten about it, so I felt like it was a bonus steak.
First thing was to season it up and I used Kinder's Master salt blend (if you haven't tried this stuff, do it!) and Tone's six pepper blend because I like my steaks a little spicy and bold. Accompanying the steak, was a sweet potato and grilled yellow squash. I also wanted jalapeno poppers because I found some nice peppers at the store earlier today. I picked up everything I needed and seasoned the cream cheese with onion powder, chives, bbq rub and stuffed the peppers, added a little slice of Colby jack and wrapped in bacon. Everything turned out perfect. I didn't know what to expect from the sirloin because I haven't had any that was ever really tender, but this was as tender as any that I have ever cooked and the flavor was excellent.
Thanks for looking.

Ron, What a Spread there Brother!!
Love it when you have the time alone to cook those thing that you like and are special.

My Bride and daughter went to St. Pete this weekend on an antique looking / finding / buying trip . So for me its Pork Steaks, Grilled Broccoli, and, well, what ever else I decide!!

Enjoy Brother !!!

Can’t beat it. Cooking what you want when you want it without worries. I’m sure you’ll be happy in a few days when they return though!

Ron, it looks great. That steak is a thing of beauty. I admire your work too because I probably would have fixed a sandwich being by myself.
