3 times I’ve walked by these. They’re on sale. I’ve walked by eying the Fornetto like an unsure teenager. Do you like me? Check yes or no. I’ve not had a bullet cooker in a very long time. I’ve watched the YouTube, read the reviews. Last evening I drove to the big box, sat in the Taco/ listening to Steely Dan/ drove home without the cooker in the bed. Brickseek says most Lowe’s have them 179$

The learning curve was good but I wish I had of started with one of these rather than a cheap offset. I was watching all the youtubers and Aaron Franklin with their offsets and wanted what they had.

Little did I know then that this style of smoker would have been a much easier to learn on.

I wouldn't call it an Australian bullet. It might be OK but it's about as Australian as Premier Xi Jinping.

Fornetto is a brand name of the Garth Company and they have several different brands, none of which are particularly interesting or innovative. They might be good. I don't know. But don't buy it just because of a perceived Aussie connection.

Indeed when the wood fired pizza oven came out here years ago they marketed it as Italian.

Cheers!

I’ve seen a lot of positive comments about them on Aussie Facebook pages and Forums. These are usually from folks who couldn’t afford a Weber Smokey Mountain, which are pretty expensive here in Australia.
