Walked into United where Brisket is $1.77# locally limit 2 (thanks cowgirl)
Bought one. Biggest point on a low cost brisket I could find in the bin.
5 peeps searching including me several awaiting their turn. Every cart I saw had a brisket, most two. So there it is. The perfect price in today's economic environment for full packer brisket is $1.77#. Just an observation definitely not scientific. Select grade, but really nice looking chunks of beef.

And whilst I was taught and still believe USDA Choice is the brisket sweet spot, in my opinion, regardless of a grade based on a 13th rib, totally hidden from view on retail cuts. Anyone ever requested the butcher for a 13th Rib?

When it comes to brisket
"All point is prime"

Obviously that's just my opinion and carries no weight. Well perhaps 13+# of brisket weight

Glad you found them in your area too Adams!
I'm still debating whether to get a couple or not. :-D
