Thanks in advance for any advice on these smokers!

I am looking at these two smokers for competitions. Mainly, I’ll just cooking brisket or ribs on it. As far as quality goes, I know the backwoods has a permanent water pan, 2” insulation and weighs 340 pounds.

I’m not quite sure on the Humphreys but it has a lot of hype. Any advice or reviews of the two in regards of quality / completion cooking?

Our experience with Humphreys has been good with the exception of cosmetics. Peeling and bubbling paint/rust with babied units.

Had a Humphrey's Pint at one point. Love it. Thing was incredibly heavy. So with either one i'd suggest mounting it to a trailer, porch, etc. Mine had a dolly attached to the back. It still was a monster to move in and out of the trailer.

As for cooking, I think they cook pretty similarly. It's just a matter of which one you can get your hands on for the most reasonable price. I liked that mine was powdercoated.

TLDR; I wish I still had my Humphreys. Loved it.
