Congrats on the brisket and the bambino!! And thanks for taking us along for the ride.

Its crazy you received the exact same score to a ten-thousandth of a point in chicken and pork!

Thanks George. There will be a tinier human in a few months :)

Need to start looking out for another 28lb brisket ... congrats :clap2:

Congrats! That is is an awesome documentary! It is really cool that you decided to do it, had a great time, it looks like, and then did pretty good. Do you try to compete outside of this type of event?

No doubt!

Congratulations on the competition and adding a new little human. :)

Congrats all the way around! How many tiny humans do you plan on collecting?

I have to report that Jason behaved himself well this weekend because there were no reported sightings of a rampant T-Rex.
I will have to say that if everyone wasn't already puzzled about KCBS scoring, this contest left me scratching my head. My team (backyard, 28 teams), placed 4th in chicken and 10th in pork. Two categories that I know I overcooked, and 19th in ribs, (6th overall),which I thought was my best. Like Jason, I will take it because there were some good teams there.

Awesome job Ron! That field was crazy nuts as well.

Nice brisket call Jason! Your box looked awesome. We landed on a table of death it looked like. Oh well. That was a fun contest!

I'm cooking right next to Jason and I noticed the Hunsaker also. I will keep him honest.
Ron, I wish I had seen this yesterday. I was talking to Jason after the turn ins and would have come over and introduced myself. I always look forward to meeting you guys in person. Congrats on your great results!

Congrats on the great results, Jason! Thanks for letting us nibble on your leftovers. Also, I enjoyed meeting your dad, wife, and future tiny human 2.

We will do this at the next one.

Thanks for the post Jason. The boxes looked awesome -- and provided further evidence that I would have no business entering one of these.

Congratulations on the results

Congratulation Jason! I wanted to attend this event so I could meet you but my wife made me do yard work all day. Hopefully I can attend next year's event.

Jason, I refuse to congratulate you and it was not good seeing you at this contest. However, I do respect that you cooked on the PitBoss and whooped our ass.
