Only Aaron Franklin from this list. To me, Meathead is a hack. I never heard of the other two.

Exactly. Never have liked that Meathead character. And did Chris Lilly make Big Bob's...or did Big Bob's make Chris Lilly?

Comp cooks can be great at what they do, but that mountain needs to be at the opposite end of the range from the "other guys".

You have to put Zog on there for figuring out a better way to use fire.

spend a few weeks on this page.

2.Ebijack, for being a pharking genius and building inexpensive genius cookers, mainly based around the UDS

3.Dadsr4, because you have to respect a guy who has used the same kettle since 1979 and will not be swayed by extraordinary popular delusions or the madness of crowds

4. all the street food vendors around the world cooking on charcoal daily with no tv fame or long lines.

Plenty of venom for Meathead on the internet. Not sure what the story is there; maybe some back story I don’t know about? In any case, he’d be on my personal Rushmore for helping turn my interest into a passion. Spent lots of time reading his stuff. I’m sure some of it is sketchy but great topics worth exploring for someone just trying to take the next step.
