Cooked my first boston butt and it was a success! Injectected with Chris Lilleys recipe and rubbed with my favorite pork rub. Cooked at 250 with kinsford and some apple wood for smoke. Wrapped with tin foil when it hit 165 and pulled it off the weber at 197. Let it rest in a cooler wrapped with towels for 1hr. Pulled apart with ease, was super tender and juicy. Had good smoke and that nice velvet texture. If I had more time I would do these more often, so good!

Looks great! I'm doing my first butt tomorrow and looking forward to it. What size was yours and how long did it take? What temps were you cooking at?

That looks like the bar has been set mate, nice one.
Love the colour

Looks great, glad it was a great success for you...

They get easier over time as they can cook unattended once you know your cooker..
