doing do 2 slabs of baby-back 1 with my rub and 1 with just salt and pepper. smoking on the bandera, little lump and lots of oak, wrap both with a little brown sugar and cherry cola then finish off with a light glaze of sweet sauce (sonny's sweet). just want to get a few opinions on the salt and pepper, it has probably been 20 years since i have done it, see if the rub is really worth it. and yes pics will come soon.

Both looks good to me, I prefer a more complex rub on pork ribs, but, have never been known to turn down any properly smoked ribs.

done deal

well all done her is the finished product.

all and all a god smoke every one was pleased. I could not tell much of a difference between them as far as the taste, I think the glaze had a bit to due with that. next time I will just due them dry. the rub did come out a little darker (sugars) and did form a better bark. most people also thought the rubbed was a little juicier, I am sure this was due the bark helping seal in the juices better.

I came to the conclusion long ago tht their aint enough difference between S&P and a 49 ingredient rub. if you want to get the ban from the 49 ingredient rub apply it the last 30 min. and mist with water
