I've got one of the Brinkman smokers which I'm going to modify. However I'm looking for a few things specifically. A local source for wood, apple, cherry other specialty woods. I'm in Akron Ohio.

And also where can I get a better thermometer for my Brinkman online. The one it has now we most of you know is garbage.

Thanks for your guidance - you guys are the real deal.

Are you talking about a Brinkmann ECB or an offset smoker?

I usually get my smoking wood from the "Free" section of Craigslist and help a friend out in the country with his spring pruning. That has given more more than I can use.
