......due to a messy breakup back in Oct 2015.

Had to leave behind my beloved 50 Gallon drum smoker with 2 x24 " grill racks in it when I left. Went back to my apt , which has a no bbq/smoker bylaw due to it being a wood structure.

BUT.....at work today I spied a 19 liter heavy steel barrel with lid.......perfect size for a PORTABLE CAMPING SMOKER/GRILL.

Burning it out this week with the weed torch.

Need a 13.5" diameter round grill grate for it.....any tips? In BC CANADA,

Good to be back . I smoked some wings a month ago camping, used a cardboard box heavily wrapped in foil and some Apple wood and charcoal.

The ex gf threw out my 55gal UDS with TWO WEBER grill grids in it.

Threw it out. To the curb . To be picked up like trash.

Now I'm mad. I can forgive a lot but this , no not this.

Welcome back
must be a law against disposing of a mans smoker

Sorry for your loss. Glad to hear of a new build. Welcome back! And any woman who would throw out a mans smoker is no keeper in my mind anyway.

Look at the racks that fit the Orion smoker. They are close to that size.

Welcome back. We all have our setbacks, that's what makes getting back so sweet.

Ok been busy trucking.

But I got the little 19 liter UDS built. Been on two camping trips with it. It's pretty damn awesome . My camp mates were amazed what I made with it.

Pics loading , patience.

Started with a 19 liter heavy barrel that contained solvent. Don't worry, 150,000 BTUs of fire sterilized that barrel.

Burned it almost white hot for an hour.......then added brackets (zinc burned off) for the rack

First camp smoke....

Chicken drums with SPOG and a healthy dose of turmeric, coriander, and cumin.

I wasn't happy with the lid, so I made this one out of 1/8" plate . Seals much better. The logo was done with mustard , left it on for 48 hours.
