Saturday September 27th, a one day competition to help raise money for the local volunteer fire department here in Warren, NJ. This is the fourth year of the contest and while it is only chicken and ribs with modified competition rules it has been won by KCBS teams twice in the past. Great way for a new team to get it's feet wet or for a more experienced team to practice.
Yes, they did try to have this in June but ran up against a large comp. in eastern PA and decided to postpone. If you thought about signing up then but couldn't due to the conflict please consider giving this a try.
I am not an organizer of this event or a member of the fire company but I do live in the town, have done this event each of the last two years and had a lot of fun. Plus, these guys were very helpful to me after hurricane Sandy. I'll always be grateful and want to help make their event a success any way I can.
