Hi there,
I know Turbinado sugar won't burn as easily as regular or brown sugar, but is it only because of larger grain size?
I feel that it's hard to apply an even coating with a rub that has Turbinado in it. Also the larger grains tend to fall off pretty easily.
So I'm thinking of grinding...
Well been doing a lot of Pork Butts on pellet grills lately. Was using a GMG that had temp swings of up to 40 degrees above set point and minus 20 degrees. Would always try to adjust the set point so I never exceeded 250 at any point.

It looks like the "tan" lining everyone refers to, but I am not 100% sure...

Well, my local repair shop gave me a 16-gallon drum for free. Had to buy the Smokey Joe. Bought some aluminum flat bar to make sturdier legs for the mini. I am taking the lid (which snaps on tight to the Smokey Joe) and adjusting it for a snug fit; then I'll leave a 1/2" inside edge to the cover...
