    Does turbinado burn easier if ground down?

    Hi there, I know Turbinado sugar won't burn as easily as regular or brown sugar, but is it only because of larger grain size? I feel that it's hard to apply an even coating with a rub that has Turbinado in it. Also the larger grains tend to fall off pretty easily. So I'm thinking of grinding...

    New Mini under way...

    Well, my local repair shop gave me a 16-gallon drum for free. Had to buy the Smokey Joe. Bought some aluminum flat bar to make sturdier legs for the mini. I am taking the lid (which snaps on tight to the Smokey Joe) and adjusting it for a snug fit; then I'll leave a 1/2" inside edge to the cover...
